The Weaverville Hotel, originally built in 1861, was last rebuilt in 1880 after burning to the ground. We have painstakingly restored it to the original high ceilings and wood floors, attempting to recapture as much of the original charm as possible. The building is on the National Register of historic places.
Rooms. Named after Trinity County gold mines, all the rooms have private showers, air conditioners, heaters, ceiling fans, hair dryers, radio/cd players, and coffee makers. A refrigerator with a limited amount of ice is available in the store-room across from Room 2. A telephone is available to our guests in the telephone booth at the top of the stairs.
Amenities. Enjoy a game of cards, sip a cup of fresh-brewed tea, chat with friends, or just curl up in front of the fire with a good book from our library in the old-fashioned, quiet ambiance of our Victorian parlor. Teas, coffees, decafs and English tea biscuits are available 24 hours a day in the small lounge behind the parlor. Also you can enjoy an assortment of old movies, or watch the news if you like.

The hotel is a retreat for many of our guests from their hectic everyday lives, including, as much as they love them, their children. There are many retired couples, honeymooners, people celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, etc. We have opted not to permit children under 12. For people traveling with pets, we can recommend a couple of excellent boarding facilities in the area.
There are several interesting shops as well, including our own 1,000 sq. ft. Emporium featuring fine chocolates, old books and photos, antique reproduction silver jewelry and collectibles, European fragrances and soaps, retro-style clothing, and other gift items.
