Class Descriptions
- Early childhood enrichment classes:
Baby Group, Moving Along, Mush & Gush, Music & Movement, Gymnastics for 2-3yrs, Princess Ballet, and morning Drum & Tumble classes, are all classes where the caregiver stays in the room and gently participates.
- Classes for 3yrs and up:
Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Drum & Tumble, Gymnastics, Hip Hop, Tap are all classes where the children are dropped off and picked up after class. Caregivers are allowed to peek up the stairs for the final 5 minutes of class as long as the volume is low. We will have an observation class at intermittent points within the year for parents and friends to see what the children have been learning.
- Moving Along 10-24 months
It's all about exploring! Tumbling, obstacle courses, water and sand play, parachute, dancing with bubbles, singing, playing instruments, and meeting new friends! This is a great opportunity to introduce your young child into a friendly environment with no concrete structure.
- Mush & Gush 2-4 years
Mush & Gush is tactile experience diving into Art, Music, and Movement. Hand, foot and face painting, Gak, Play dough & foam-play, sand, water, glue, and take home art projects each week. Drumming and singing, dancing with bubbles, and playing under the parachute make this class a favorite for your 2-4yrs old. All art supplies are washable, but best not to dress you child in their finest!
- Music & Movement
In this class, Ben brings his unique musical gifts to your child through inventive song singing, instrument playing & body movement. This class is wonderful for siblings. Class begins with a shaker warm up, seamlessly transitions into a drum circle, and ends with movement. The final segment is a calming down, bonding movement for parent and child, with soothing lullaby’s and goodbye songs.
- Drum & Tumble
A perfect class for boys! Action packed physical play, drumming, singing, dancing, and rumbling for your energetic child. Calling all Superheros!
- Princess Ballet 2 to 3 years
This class is the perfect combination of your little girl’s interests. Dress-up and slight “make-up”, ballet warm-ups and stretches, dancing with bubbles, magic wands, scarves and ribbons, and a take home art project each week. Classroom tools are woven into the children’s play throughout class in an age appropriate manner. Getting along with friends, sharing the props, and using kind manners are all a big part of the Princess Ballerina’s experience! Many caretakers bring their cameras, capturing their little ballerina’s adorable and priceless moments.
- Pre-Ballet, Ballet I, Ballet II, Ballet III
Stephanie's creative and original ballet curriculum captivates your child’s imagination, and most importantly makes ballet fun for your child! As the children grow, they are introduced to more and more ballet “structure.” Pre-Ballet is the child's first experience into the world of ballet and all of its magic. This class is free of concrete structure, rather, uses imagination based tools to find the children dancing from their hearts. As the children enter Ballet I, they are starting to lengthen their bodies and legs, and are beginning to understand proper alignment. Ballet II brings more of the same, and begins to add steps at the barre and across the floor into combinations. Ballet III really starts to look like a proper ballet class. Each ballet class, Pre-Ballet and up, consists of a circle warm up, uses the ballet barre, travels across the floor, and builds center combinations. Each class leaves time for an “open dance.” This is an important part of class where the dancers utilize all of the steps they have learned, and sharpen the ones they are trying to learn. The year end recital is held in June, with all dancers, Pre-Ballet-Ballet III participating.
- Gymnastics
Our gymnastics program is a dance based program that will have your children tumbling with beautiful technique. All drills are designed to engage your child's imagination while developing their strength. Classes begin with a circle warmup, continue with obstacle courses, drills on the mats, ball work, core work, and end with dance games. Your child will enjoy him/herself tremendously while training with the bubbly personality of Teacher Lauren!
- Private Theme Parties
We offer endless activities for boys and girls in arts & crafts, gymnastics, games, music & instruments, dancing, singing, and cooking. Let our experienced staff design a party to inspire your child's imagination! Choose from our inventive and original theme parties or have us create one just for you. Our 2 hour parties include two teachers entertaining the children for the duration. We provide the set up and most importantly the cleanup.
