Lango Irvine is a full-immersion foreign language program that teaches Spanish, French and Mandarin to young children ages 0-12! Classes, taught by native speaking teachers, are 45-minutes in length and offered in small group settings of 5-10 students.
Our highly engaging language classes use music, games, art, and stories to teach kids new languages, and most of all have fun while learning!
Lango is proud to partner with the Irvine Public Schools Foundation to provide after-school Elementary Spanish, French and Mandarin to the students of Irvine Unified School District through the Irvine Public Schools Foundation's ACE program.
Lango was established on the belief that every child should learn a second language. Frustrated by the lack of options to teach our own kids another language (and having met many other families with the same concern), we set out to create a program that would teach kids new languages in a way that kids will love. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Lango teaches children ages 18 months to eight years new languages in full immersion classes through Adventure Learning©, our innovative approach that combines stories, music and movement, playacting and game-playing in an engaging, format that kids love.
The Benefits of Lango
Kids who come to Lango classes learn a new language - especially if they stick with their classes for a year or more. They also make developmental strides that will prepare them to succeed in school, gain an appreciation for other cultures and make new friends in the classroom, plus they have a great time in the process!
Learn a Foreign Language
Witnessing your child learn another language is exciting. Of course children learn languages at different rates, but your child will make strides that may surprise even you. First they will begin to understand words, then phrases, then sentences. They will also begin to answer simple questions, speak in short phrases and then engage in simple conversation - and be on their way to becoming multi-lingual.
Gain an Appreciation for Other Cultures
Our teachers bring their passion for other lands and peoples to their classes. Lango students learn about the richness of other cultures, typically increasing their interest in speaking their new language. Depending on which language classes they take, our students may learn about folk music from Argentina, Spanish games, food from France or Chinese dance.
Make New Friends in the Classroom
Our engaging, interactive classes are ideal places for kids to make new friends. Students who learn a new language also learn the importance of being inquisitive, open and understanding of others, and Lango classmates often become great friends.
