Our Programs:
- Acupuncture. Acupuncture is the use of various types of needles and techniques to achieve a state of balance or harmony. Harmony is equated with health while disharmony creates a state of disease. The needles are usually, but not always, inserted into points on the meridians or channel pathways. There is a channel pathway for each of the Chinese organs of the body. Each of these organs has its own type of Qi, which enables each organ to perform its assigned function.
- Esoteric Acupuncture. The spiritual Feng Shui of mind and body. The geomantic arts of east and west combine with the technology of acupuncture, qi gong and visualization to help you find renewal and effect change.
- Treatment for Medical Conditions. Conditions that can be treated by acupuncture and herbs are many and varied. Treatment of some conditions will result in cessation of symptoms such as colds and flu. Acupuncture does not necessarily result in a cure of a long-term condition but rather an improvement of the condition.
- Special Programs. Traditional Chinese Medicine for Children, Stop Smoking, Weight Loss, Chakra Balancing, Herbal Facial Treatment Acupuncture Face Lifts, Line Smoothing Treatments.
- Herbal Therapy. Our visit begins with a cup of tea and conversation about your health goals. You will experience the healing that comes from being listened to and cared for as you make your personal journey to health and transformation.
- Acupuncture Treatment. You will find your personal journey to health both relaxing and enjoyable. Hygeia's Bowl creates a soothing atmosphere with the use of color, fabric, jersey sheets and warm fuzzy blankets, stuffed animals. According to your preference, Hygeia's Bowl uses candles, music, water therapy, warm stones, heated oils, healing stones, color therapy and essential oils for those not allergic to scents or incense. All treatments use the energy therapies of Qi Gong, Touch for Health, and meditation. We also provide nutritional counseling and suggestions for lifestyle changes to further enhance your healing process.
- Senior Program. Seniors Aged 65 and Older.
- Acupuncture Facial Treatments. Your treatment begins with a relaxation and stress management treatment. You will then have an herbal facial followed by a facial mask, and then a facial acupuncture treatment that tonifies and lifts. You will finish with a warm oil facial treatment.
Laura M. Sedgwick is the Owner of Hygeia's Bowl Healing Arts Center. Oriental Medicine became her passion and her life work. Laura is a member of the Centinela Valley Lodge No 1991 of the Order Sons of Italy In America.
