Chappellet Winery

The Chappellet family has been crafting world class wines from their Pritchard Hill estate vineyards since 1967. Spurred by the notion that Bacchus loves the hills and that mountain fruit would make superior wine, Chappellet followed the advice of legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff and settled on the rocky eastern slopes of the Napa Valley. The Chappellets were the first to plant vineyards exclusively on high elevation hillsides and the second winery to be established in the Napa Valley after Prohibition. The foundation of Chappellet winemaking program is focused on creating extraordinary age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the unique characteristics of the fruit from Pritchard Hill. The rugged terroir of Chappellet's vineyards produces wines with great intensity and depth, qualities that define the world's finest wines. For four decades Chappellet wines have received high praise from wine critics and have been sought after by the world's premier collectors.

- 2005 Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon: Like the great Bordeaux wines that first inspired Donn Chappellet, this wine is crafted by blending Cabernet Sauvignon with other classic Bordeaux varietals.
White wines
- 2007 Napa Valley Chardonnay: Vivid and rich, our Chardonnay is produced from fruit grown in the southern reaches of Napa Valley.

- 2004 Merlot Magnum: A rich, silky and hedonistic Merlot, this wine begins with vibrant aromatics of raspberry and red and black cherry, accented by clove, anise and a hint of pepper that evolves to layers of juicy, ripe fruit, smoke, molasses and spicy oak.
-2002 Merlot Magnum: To ensure complexity and integration, our Napa Valley Merlot is patiently aged for approximately 18 months in a mixture of the finest French and American oak barrels.
