We offer a large variety of plastic and metal frames such as stainless steel frames, aluminum alloy frames, monel frames, bendable titanium frames, pure titanium frames.
Our frames are available in Monel steel alloy, stainless steel, memory titanium, plastic and memory plastic.
Our standard frames are of monel metal alloy. The overwhelming majority of metal frames sold in the US , including most of the very expensive designer brand names, are of this alloy. This is a strong metal alloy that adjusts well, and is relatively easy to manufacture into a wide variety of shapes and color finishes and hence its popularity.
Stainless steel frames are very strong, are lighter, stronger, and more flexible and durable than monel. They are also hypoallergenic. Stainless steel is harder and more expensive to manufacture and color finish into eyeglass frames and hence tend to be more expensive.
Titanium is a relatively newer material to come to the eyeglass frame market. It is an extremely light, strong and flexible material that makes for a superior if somewhat expensive eyeglass frame. Much harder to color than monel , titanium frames are often sold in their unfinished but attractive natural silver-grey color.
Lens Material
Our standard lens material is the plastic high index 1.56 lenses. Thinner lenses such as the 1.61 index and the 1.67 index are also available on our site.
Single vision is the standard eyeglass prescription having Spherical, Cylindrical and Axis values for Distance and astigmatism correction. A reading glass would also fall into this category.
Bi-Focal have that light line just below the centerline of the lens that separate the distance upper part from the reading lower part of the lens. Bi- Focal lenses should have and absolute minimum of 30mm height, but we reccommend a 32mm or greater lens height to make them comfortable.
Coatings
All of our Single Vison,Bi-Focal and progressive bi-focal lenses are premium quality high index Polycarbonate composite polymer high impact resistance lenses with full UV protection, special strong anti-scratch coating.
